St. Louis made us feel welcome from the day we arrived in 1980.

Early in our careers we were transferred to nine different locations around the country. But when we moved to St. Louis from Atlanta, the city and people captivated and embraced us right from the beginning. Since then, it has never let us go, and it has afforded us opportunities for success and fulfillment for which we are grateful.

St. Louis is also home to so many people who have improved the quality of our lives – friends, neighbors, employees, clients and colleagues. That’s why we want to give back in a lasting way to the community that provided us with so many great experiences and opportunities. From our decades-long involvement in Forest Park Forever, which restored – and now sustains – one of our region’s most impressive jewels, to Patty’s passion for animals and her involvement in the Humane Society of Missouri and Gary’s Trustee service at Fontbonne University, we have become aware of many unfulfilled needs in our community and the importance of getting behind the organizations in St. Louis that can make transformative changes.

We hope, as founding members of the St. Louis Gift Pledge, that others will feel the same way and take this pledge with us. Living in St Louis has been a privilege.   It is important to us that we make meaningful contributions to local institutions and causes that mean so much for the future. We have no doubt they will continue to do great things for our community long after we’re gone.

Join us. The feeling of giving is a special one!
